The philosophy of the property is oriented to an ‘eco-sustainable tourism’. The property has a small installation for the production of hot water produced by solar panels. We are designing a system of “cogeneration” of biomass, which produces electricity to insert into the network and to use then the waste heat for all the needs of “warmth” of the resort, reducing the use of petroleum to a minimum. Will be completed by winter 2012. In that same season through the heat exchanger is heated the outdoor pool that will allow guests to use it in all seasons of the year. Currently we have a separate collection of biodegradable waste and will be completed with the use of separate bins for glass, paper and plastic. We try to raise awareness of the energy used by our guests. It is inconceivable that hotels do not mind about waste of heat and water, electricity etc. with a little ‘attention without giving up any comfort, you can use the same services without waste. We try to limit the use of insecticides respecting the environment and the ecosystem.
Toscana Verde is always aware of the environment and his sustainability. The aim is to be able to find a balance between economic development and environmental sustainability, starting businesses that allow to improve the quality of life while protecting the environment and the territory, thanks to these principles. Toscana Verde uses:
• Solar Panels;
• Recycling by the staff (bar, restaurant, cleaning) and by the customer;
• Cogeneration of electric energy that can produce energy by burning vegetable oil, completely non-toxic and renewable;
• Products for catering at Km 0;
• Cooking with only local products.

The following loan request is related to energy requalification of building and of installation for use of receptive strutture.
In particular it has been paid attention to heating system and air-conditioning system, to insertion of a home-automation system to check and to limit consumption in bedrooms and replacement of some windows.
The investment that is presented in announcement provides a cost of € 212.650,00 and a non-refundable grant of € 85.060,00.
